Blaptica dubia can be a feeder roach that may be found throughout Central and South America. Dubia roaches have a couple of different names like Orange Spotted Roach or Guyana Orange Spotted Roach. Blaptica dubia make a fantastic feeder roach for a handful of very good reasons. Their size is a good purpose, only reaching about 2" as adults they're able to be feed to anything from tarantulas to big lizards such as monitors.

Dubia roaches are a non-climbing, non-flying species. Adult male dubia do have wings and may flutter a brief distance but do not fly. Females are wingless with little stubs, it is simple to spot the difference in males and female dubia. Another excellent thing about dubia roaches may be the truth they don't make any noise and have a quite mild odour as opposed to other feeder insects including feeder crickets and superworms.

This species takes about four months to attain adulthood and may live an additional 12 months just before the finish of their life. Female blaptica dubia have live birth having a gestation period of about 35 days. She can have as much as 40 babies at a time which are born white and will darken up as their shell hardens. They could produce at reduced temperatures, within the 70's but will create far better in greater temperatures and greater humidity. The temperature range that operates the best is in the 92 to 95 variety. With higher temperature they are going to consume more food and water so make certain that you just maintain a steady supply of meals and water constantly. A premium quality diet operates very best for all feeder insects. The high quality of food that goes into your feeder insect is passed along to your pets. A high quality feeder can help you keep a healthful and happier pet.
